Why?

Millions of Americans go each day wondering how or when they going to eat next. According to the USDA, 12.3% or 1 in 8 households at one point or another throughout the year had difficulty putting food on the table. Our mission is to help bridge the gap between excess foods and these families in need and to feed as many people as possible.

Our Story

Meals 4 America was founded in Charlotte, NC. After noticing how the homeless population seemed to be growing and seeing how much food we waste on a daily basis, we decided to see what we could do to help. We want to work with local stores and restaurants to bring excess foods to those in need. We don’t want to stop there though, we want to try to provide healthy foods that will strengthen these families to help them through the hard times they are facing. If we all work together, everyone can get fed.
